The brain learns through repetition. Thoughts and behaviours become habits — even the unhelpful
ones — and over time, the brain just keeps running what it knows. That’s why some young people
get stuck in cycles of panic, withdrawal, perfectionism, anger, or low self-worth.
The good news is: the brain can change.
When children and teens understand what’s happening in their brain and body, it gives them space
to breathe. They begin to feel gently hopeful — even if they’ve lost that feeling for a while. I can’t
offer guarantees (no ethical therapist can), but I do know that when they start thinking and
responding differently, things begin to shift. Often sooner than they expect
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy helps children and teens build new emotional pathways — calmly,
gently, and with a focus on what’s working. We don’t revisit the past or force them to talk about
what they’re not ready for. We focus on solutions, strengths, and the natural ability of their brain to
rewire itself.
Hypnotherapy is a natural, familiar state — the same one the brain uses and creates in daydreaming,
imagination, or deep focus. That’s why it feels so safe and comfortable.
In sessions, I help them:
• Feel calmer and less overwhelmed
• Build confidence and emotional resilience
• Improve sleep, focus, and mood
• Reduce panic, anger, and negative patterns
• Reconnect with their strengths and potential
Step by step, through guided relaxation and practical, brain-based tools, they develop new patterns
that help them feel more in control — from the inside out.
• Relaxed, age-appropriate support tailored to their needs
• For children: metaphor, creative tools, and imagination
• For teens: respectful space to talk and explore without pressure
• Every session builds trust, confidence, and emotional safety
• No judgment, no labels, no force — just support
I am DBS Enhanced Checked, and I lead every session with compassion, empathy, and respect.
Confidentiality is crucial for young people to open up. What they share stays between us, unless
safeguarding requires otherwise. They deserve a space where they feel heard, protected, and never
judged.
They also deserve to know they can trust the person they’re talking to. That’s why I emphasise trust,
privacy, and comfort — every step of the way.

This list isn’t exhaustive. If your child or teen is struggling with something that doesn’t appear here,
please know that support may still be available.
It might feel heavy right now — for them and for you — but neither of you are alone in this.
Support is how we heal, grow, and reclaim balance. We all need it at times. With the right help,
young people can reconnect with themselves, find calm, and step into a future they feel more
prepared to handle.
If you’d like to explore support for your child or teen, I’m here — kind, confidential,
professional, and fully on their side. No pressure. Just a genuine wish to help.
